Netflix Confirms The Witcher Season 2 Starts With A Grain Of Truth Story

Netflix’s The Witcher is returning for its second season in December, and now we’ve learned that it will kick off with an adaptation of Andrzej Sapkowski’s short story, A Grain of Truth. In a new video from Netflix Geeked, showrunner Lauren H. Hissrich acknowledged that it’s been the “worst kept secret that we’ve had,” which is surely a reference to how Netflix has been teasing some kind of reveal for A Grain of Truth for a long time already.

But now it’s confirmed: Season 2 will kick off with A Grain of Truth, and Hissrich said she’s especially pleased to be able to do this because she wasn’t sure if they would get to work on more short story adaptations on the show. The episode features Geralt, Ciri, and Nivellen, who is new to the series and will be played by Kristofer Hivju from Game of Thrones.

“It’s a story of a father and daughter coming together in a place that doesn’t quite feel safe for them. And of course, we really get into Nivellen, who is played by the incomparable Kristofer Hivju,” Hissrich said. “And we get to explore his character and his back story with Geralt as well. It’s really the perfect kick off for season two because it’s about family. It’s about the secrets that we keep from each other, and it’s about the monsters that we are inside sometimes.” Come from Sports betting site VPbet
